Businesses undergoing digital transformations need reliable SaaS vendors to guide them. But before that, those same SaaS vendors need content marketing solutions to help build brand awareness and trust with consumers.
In this case study, we’re looking back at our work with Vizlib, a global BI software development firm that specialises in value-added products for Qlik Sense. Read on to see how export support from a leading technology marketing agency could help to transform your brand.
Vizlib is a London-based business intelligence (BI) solutions provider. Their suite of software products act as plug-ins for the wider Qlik ecosystem, extending user abilities to analyse data and visualise trends. What’s more, the no-code interface means users from all technical backgrounds can access the product, placing Vizlib at the forefront of next-gen BI solutions, alongside industry juggernauts like Tableau and Power BI.
With customers spanning the public and private sectors (including financial services, healthcare and life science industries), Vizlib struggled to grow a rich and diverse content portfolio. At the same time, the company also had a US presence under the sub-brand ‘Astrato,’ meaning its internal marketing team had to cater to two completely different audiences simultaneously.
While both readers were looking to BI solutions, each piece of content had to deliver a regional specific communication style - covering tone of voice as well as the usual spelling variations. Further, each brand’s content had to be unique and separate, as articles that were too similar would compete in search engine results and fail to convert customers from either target market as a result.
All in all, with a global presence and high growth targets, any external content marketing solution had to deliver high quality and consistent results at all times.
Vizlib first reached out to CopyHouse in 2022 for its content marketing solutions, and our collaboration began in September of the same year. As a specialist technology marketing agency, CopyHouse was well-placed to support Vizlib in growing its brand awareness and search engine performance.
The monthly retainer agreement included a 1,500-word pillar article and three 1,000-word supporting articles for each brand, taking the total to 9,000 words per month across eight deliverables.
Since Vizlib needed highly specialised content at scale (and on a tight turnaround), we dedicated four copywriters to the account. This allowed us to deliver our usual battery of an outline and fully-written article (each of which came with two rounds of amends) within the two-week turnaround timeline with ease.
Our project with Vizlib ended after 11 months of us delivering SEO content marketing services and writing nearly 150,000 words. During this time, the agreement evolved to allow Vizlib to allocate our SEO content marketing services where they needed it most. For example, expanding the word count of pillar pieces where needed or writing additional supporting articles for one brand over the other month to month.
By the end, the two project teams had grown friendly after weekly calls with one another over the past year. In our final goodbye, we underscored our willingness to provide content marketing solutions if the opportunity ever arose again. The Vizlib team were exceedingly kind, replying, “[...] - the feeling is completely mutual, we will be sure to reach out in future when projects crop up! All the best and thanks to you all once again.”
CopyHouse is extremely proud to have been a part of the firm’s journey. From a small UK startup, Vizlib has grown into a global, dynamic company with over 1,000 enterprise customers and 150 employees across four countries. Most recently, the company was acquired by insightsoftware, putting them in a prime position to achieve their growth goals.
